Where is the best place for a teen to look for impartial advice?

My sister has a son who is in the process of deciding which career he wants to do. He is 18 and has specialized in sciences but his main strength, in job suitability terms, is how well he gets on with people. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to fully acknowledge what an asset this could be when finding a career, despite my own and my sister's encouragement. What kind of impartial careers advice would people recommend?

Seriously, took me until an employer carried out a little HR exercise about understanding your own strengths and how to use them that I finally understood why I enjoyed some things and what i was good at.

But it could be as simple as write down two columns on a bit of paper - What am I good At? and What do I enjoy?

And then try and think about that outside of the academic mindset of school.
