this is not strictly about bringing up teenager but about teens/young adults attitudes to sex.

So, yesterday they were discussing their 'pornographic preferences' on big Brother.

If that wasn't bad enough, one young guy said, 'I like gang-rape'.
Everybody chatted and laughed - including the girls, nobody was offended in the least, including Big Brother.

Am I the only one who thinks this is outrageous?
Just imagine the man had said 'I like children rape or [racist word] rape'. The outcry would have been heard in the whole country. I have seen people being thrown of big Brother for using the n-word.

But raping women - that's just fine, right?

I am so really really angry about this.

In this country you cannot say so many things because they are politically incorrect but insulting women, making the most disgusting sexist remarks is beautifully tolerated. Why????

I haven't watched Big Brother for years & this just confirms why I no longer bother.

I'd suggest for you to complain to offcom. Hopefully if there's enough disgusted people out there something should be done.

I have now complained to ofcom - will see what happens.

I find Big Brother very interesting because it gives you unprecedented insight into human behaviour. I don;t mind the people being silly or narcissistic - I want to study narcicissm and all other sorts of attitudes.

But I do mind that Big Brother - as the parent, so to speak does not interfere and that our teenagers learn from this behaviour.

Also the incident about gang rape play into my big worry that with all the pornography there is a huge time bomb ticking in our society that will destroy relationships and families in a massive way.

It's shocking, isn't it?

I'm so glad I don't watch that crap as I would have been really Angry

Such a shame (and an indicator of our society?) that nobody challenged the remark.

I didn't see that but am horrified that a comment like that wouldn't, at the very least, create a discussion.

Are our teens growing up with this being totally normal?

That idea terrifies me!

I'm clinging to the hope that a comment like that can slide into conversation only amongst a group of fame hungry, desperate to be liked, trying to out-do each other wannabes

I have read that ofcom received 100s of complaints but most of them are about someone calling Danielle a 'Jesus shagger'. (Sorry, if that offends someone) I don;t find that even so bad...

I am clinging to the hope that maybe I heard that wrongly....
