I was thinking about you too this morning. Hope you are OK

moondog · 29/08/2006 08:38

Me too.
Read your thread in sheer horror.
(I think Custy's advice was brilliant btw.)

Saturn74 · 29/08/2006 08:39

I've been thinking about you too - I hope everything is OK this morning.

Spacecadet - your DD reminds me of my sister and I have to say her behaviour left me so frightened so many times when she came for me - I know you love her but if she is behaving so appallingly to your other kids they deserve to be protected from her to - its just like domestic violence between husband and wife - it leaves scars forever!!

My BS (Big Sister) ended up in care - and she realised that it was shit - she had none of the power - no money, no love and no one reacted when she went ballistic - they were all used to it you see, she was just another in a long line of difunctional little cows who thought that they were in control.

They want to comer back so quickly then - they can have all the freedom they want but they soon realise that the only people who offer them anythig want something back.

So sorry to read about your desperate situation. Haven't had a chance to read the whole thread, but has anyone suggested contacting the NSPCC? I mean from the standpoint that younger children may be at risk. I am probably hopelessly out of date (used to be a health visitor back in the 70s) but I always found the voluntary sector to be more helpful than social services. Other than that I can't think of anything to add to what others have said. It is so hard coping with teenagers at the best of times. I hope you will find some support.

bump

moondog · 29/08/2006 17:48

I think she is posting on the original thread.

Saturn74 · 29/08/2006 17:52

Thanks, Moondog. I saw she had recently posted - just bumped this in case she hadn't seen it.

i never even saw this thread sorry MB.
cut and pasted from other thread
right..last night..dd finally calmed down at midnight...at which point i could hear her sobbing..i went upstairs and she was sat on the bed..crying out" no opne wants me..even my dad doesnt want me"..cue long chat that went on till 2 am. dd sat glaring at me as though i was godzilla, but against my better judgement, i told her that her real father..did love her but had difficulty showing it and as he had problems of his own at the moment was probably wrapped up in those.
i told her that i loved her too, that just because she was a teen and nearly grown up, didnt mean id stopped loving her..she said, but you hate me, i said no, i hate your behaviour..not you.
there were a lot of tears and she went to bed, she let me cuddle her and i reminded her that above all she was my daughter and i loved her, that i loved all my children
i dont know what will happen today..she is still in bed.
