I have 3 tickets for 1D at Wembley arena. Would you go in with two 13 year olds or let three 13 year olds go in on their own?

I would check the age restrictions on the ticket. I can't remember what they are , but personally I would not risk kids being checked and refused entry.

Floralnomad · 16/04/2014 11:15

If they're allowed in on their own I'd let them go and wait outside.

JuniperTisane · 16/04/2014 11:18

Are they seated or standing? I'm not sure under-14s are allowed to stand. I would take them and wait around in a local pub if its ok for them to go in alone.

the worst thing about Wembley Arena is getting in and out - getting back to the tube station or out of the car park after a concert takes ages and the walk back to the tube can be really crowded and a bit scary.

If you can drop them off/collect them, then they will be fine, but if they're getting public transport I'd probably want to go with them.

I'd probably want to go with them anyway, but then I love a bit of cheesy boy band action!!

Thanks everyone, I will be transporting them via a driving/train combination so will be able to hang around - pub&book seems like a good combination! My instinct was it would be OK to send them in together if I was nearby. Tickets are seating so they will be allowed in alone. Daughter will be delighted to take another friend. Unfortunately won't be able to embarrass her by being there!

Have you checked the details carefully? At the 1D concert we're going to under 16s have to have an adult with them even if they're seated.

JuniperTisane · 16/04/2014 12:50

age restriction info here

Do they look 14?

woodlands01 · 16/04/2014 17:32

Checking details for Wembley; for reserved seats children 11 and under need to be accompanied by an adult. Standing is different but I have seats so girls (aged 13) should be OK. I'll make sure they have ID with them.

Just read your info JuniperTisane and got all confused. However I should have said Wembley STADIUM not ARENA.

Ah! Yes that makes a difference Grin

kslatts · 17/04/2014 12:25

I would travel with them and then let them go in on their own

Depending on how far away you are, driving all the way in is not a bad option - it's about 1 1/2 hours for us. There are some really easy on the road pick up options to the south of the stadium which are easy for he kids to walk to - we've done it a couple of times.

I once saw 1D - as part of the X factor tour that year. But a couple of other times I've sat outside and waited, like you!

I've got a question about 1D concerts as I'm taking 10-year-old DD in June, to Wembley - what time do they usually come on, and how long are they on for? I'm guessing about 2 hours? The doors open early, but as DD is only 10 don't want to be hanging around for hours waiting for the concert to start. Any good tips on going to a huge concert like that with a child? Never done it before!
