Just had to pick 14 yr old d up from primark stealing £3 worth of eyelashes help what do I do ??

A lot of teenagers of that age have stolen .They just never got caught .Read her the riot act .Put in a punishment.Ask why she had no money as surley she earns pocket money at her age .And move on from it .HTH.

You need to have a long talk with her about her reasons for this. Just because lots of teenagers go through this doesn't make it acceptable. Getting a caution could have serious implications for her future career.

Say that she can't go to the shops without you / her dad being with her, for say 3/6 months, as she can't be trusted to be in shops responsibly on her own.

Was anyone with her - friends, boyfriend etc?

this is theft, a crime, and is not funny. Ask her how she would feel if someone came to her house and took her possessions.

It's not funny, no, but neither is it the crime of the century or a definite sign that she's on the road to a life of degeneracy.

She's upset - good.

Read the riot act, mention the implications of getting a criminal record (although go easy on that - a caution at 14 is unlikely to ruin her career and you don't want her thinking she might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb), ground her for a bit.
