DD is 13. Going to cinema with friend then to parents house for evening. The other parents to provide transport (we have no car).

We do not have the address of friend or phone number for parents. Have mobile of their DD. I have met the Mum and we are FB friends.

Do I need to know their address/phone? DD went to their house once before for similar occassion - i wasnt home and DH didnt ask for any contact details (he doesnt think we need to) and i feel its a bit weird to ask now after all this time?

But I think I should at least be able to contact the parents if, say, there is emergency and DDs phone switched off or something?

Do I ask the Mum on FB? Or ask DD to get the info? She has no idea where they live even though she's been there!

DD only child and all other friends live locally as went to her primary so never had this situation before? (admit to being a bit PFB but try not to be Blush)

What does a non over protective parent do? Hmm

FB message the mum with "Thanks for having dd round this evening. I'm sure the girls will all have a great time. Do you have a contact number where I can reach you in an emergency?"

I would ask Mum on FB if you can. Kids seem to hate asking for this kind of basic essential information. For the record my ds's have no idea of the addresses of where their mates live until they are driven there and we identify it ourselves.

FB is good at times like this when you need info especially when you can't physically see where their mates live .Smile
