Do you still have cuddles with your teenage boys?

My soon to be 14 year old boy actively seeks me out for a cuddle in the evenings. He's growing a little moustache but is still quite "boy" like in many ways. I think it's lovely and am perfectly happy for it to continue.

Is it unusual though?

oh yes, lots of hugs here still from 15 and 13 year old dss! ds1 still wants to sit on my lap quite often Hmm

Yes DS is 13 and we have about 10 cuddles a day!
He is autistic and very tactile so not your average teenage boy.
Dsis's ds is 20 and he still cuddles his mum and sits down for chats, it's very nice. If only I could get my 15year old dd to be as cuddly

DS1 (13) hugs - but there is about a foot gap between us! He just laughs and says I'm just not a cuddle kinda kid Mum (yeah right - except when you aren't feeling well)

DS2 (9) hugs and holds on like a limpet which I love, and I am going to make him sign a contract so that it stays like that for ever!

No, my son stopped cuddling me when he was about 12. He used to be the cuddliest child when he was young. I miss the contact, but I understand it may come back when he is older. He is nearly 18 and I'm still waiting!

Oh yes, pretty much every night he gets a kiss and a cuddle (he's 15 and taller than me). I don't need to ask him for it, he just comes. Even after he's had one of his 'moments', we still hug.

my 13 yo DS still has a cuddle, usually its me who instigate it but i'm sure he secretly likes it, even though he has is arms straight down by his sides! He was poorly last week and he did want cuddles from me and hugged back, but he's better now and the arms are back down at his sides. I do think its important to show them that they are loved, especially at this age and with all the strops that go on, he still knows that he's loved and can come to me anytime for a cuddle should he need one. I hope it never stops !

Oh thank goodness. My boys are five and one and I don't want the cuddles to stop!

DS1 is 19 and still loves cuddles from his mum, but not quite so many now he has a girlfriend. DS2 and 3 will be 13 in just over a week and lie on me on the sofa every evening whilst DD, who is the same age, drapes herself over her father.

Yes. Nearly breaks my ribs Grin

Yep over here too. He went though a phase for about 2 months when he was 13 and cancelled all contact (think that was due to a first girlfriend thing). He's now back to crushing me again Grin
