I am a bit worried about my twins.

A little bit of background. The twins (B/G) are in year 12 at school, like many twins they were very close when they were little and all the hormonal chaos of puberty didn't change that. They had their moments, what children do not, but I think DH and I have been lucky.
The problem, if problem it is, is that sometimes I think they are too close and by now they should be doing more things on their own. There are doing the same AS subjects, fair enough there were also their best subjects, but they seem to assume they will also go to the same university.
Over the last year I have noticed a few things, perhaps insignificant on their own, but when put together worry me.
Yesterday was one. They came home from school and straight away went upstairs to change out of their "smart business attire 6th form dress code" clothes and into the usual jeans. Nothing unusual except I know for a fact that DS was in DD's room while she was getting changed. They were chatting away about a mutual friend, nothing furtive, but it seemed very strange to me. They do sometimes appear a bit like boyfriend and girlfriend rather than siblings. DH (whose user name I have borrowed) thinks it is 100% OK but I do worry a bit.

Well...would it bother you so much? If they were more girlfriend/boyfriend?

Not suggesting for a second that that's the most likely option. Between twins and siblings nudity should be natural, it seems completely normal.

DD2(18) is very close friends with boy/girl twins and yes they are very close and they found it quite hard to be at separate universities at first. When they were at sixth form they were in the same circle of friends and always spent a lot of time together. DD2 went on holiday in the summer with the girl twin and the first thing she told anyone that spoke to her was that she had a twin brother so it was obviously hugely important to her that her twin was acknowledged even when he wasn't there.

I'm with your DH with this - lucky them for having such a close bond.

I sometimes hear other parents moaning about their children fighting so I suppose I should be grateful. I cannot remember the last time the twins has a cross word with each other. I sometimes do feel a bit excluded from their emotional lives. If one of them is upset about something it is always their twin they turn to for support. To see DD sitting on her brothers knee staring into his eyes as they talk about school or music or the TV brings a lump to my throat every time.

Clearly DD doesn't mind her brother being there when she gets changed so I suppose I had better learn to live with itSmile Quirrelquarrel is right.

I think it's just because they've grown up so closely. I've adjusted trousers for alterations for one bro and he just changed them in front of me and we're in our forties. Never thought anything of it, but wouldn't share a bath with him nowadays, lol.

I have b/g twins who are 18 months. I hope my twins grow up being very close. At the moment DTD likes to beat up DTS lol
