What sort of thing does he enjoy, what part of the country are you op?

mrsmplus3 · 07/01/2012 10:12

near glasgow, scotland. he loves music like nirvana, drawing, xbox, starting to take an interest in cooking actually. he spends some saturdays going into glasgow during the day with his friends, looking around art and music shops and they go for a chinese or chippy. hes a good guy so not at the drinking etc stage which is good.
thanks

For my ds's 16th, he and 5 friends went paintballing, then dh and I joined them at the PB place (tables & chairs there but no kitchen) with hot and cold buffet which went down v well.

We,ve also done mountainboarding, as there's a great venue locally where you can do your own barbecue and it's not hugely spenny.

I paid for ds1 and two of his mates to see The Prodigy at Wembley. So concert sounds like a good idea.
Am giving ds2 £100 to take his mates out for pizza.

Concert or show or festival of some kind sounds wonderful. And suitably grown up

BackforGood · 07/01/2012 15:14

My ds went with his friends to lazerquest a month or two back. No adults went with them, and I think they really enjoyed the whole independence of getting themselves there (2 trains and a tram) and 'doing it all' without adults. My ds's is in the Summer, so if it's not looking too wet then he'll be having a BBQ/party in the garden and people can camp out there if they don't want to go home.

mrsmplus3 · 07/01/2012 15:17

all great ideas, thank you.

My DS turns 16 in a few weeks and he is booked in for his moped training on his birthday Grin He is very excited, I am petrified!

I imagine he'll want to go out with his mates the following weekend for pizza or similar, they often bus into the city and spend the day mooching round the shops and eating.

hendo2 · 07/01/2012 17:52

what about Go Ape - there is one in Aberfeldy and went down a treat with my son.

hendo2 · 07/01/2012 17:53

not Aberfeldy, Aberfoyle near Stirling!

percysgirl · 11/01/2012 18:30

We booked for DS to do go-karting with a couple of his mates - they all loved it :)
