DS wants a 'designer jacket' for christmas.
Hmm- which brands are 'in' for 13/14 year olds?
Thanks

Paul's Boutique seem to be really in atm if you take DD2's school population as your sample!

DD aged 14 currently looking for a SuperDry jacket

Hollister, Jack Wills, Abercrombie and Fitch. Personally, I prefer Hollister as they are a bit cheaper than the others!

I'd get him to be more specific or take him shopping if it was me - teenagers are fickle.

For a DS SuperDry , for a DD Holister / Jack Wills although I do think it depends on where you are in the country (Paul's Boutique so last year round here !). I would ask him to pick some out online that he likes otherwise I can guarantee that whatever you choose won't be right !

I took him into town yesterday but couldn't find anywhere that sells teen-sizes, only adults!
Where do I go for teen-sizes?????????????

Top Shop's XXS or XS should fit a 13/14 year old unless he's really small - they don't have masses of styles in those sizes though

ds (14) is now in Jack Wills S, Top Shop S and Abercrombie and Fitch do teen sizes (up to 14)

last year we got ds a reefer-type coat in Debenhams eventually - having failed to find anything decent in his size in places like superdry

it is really difficult to find anything which fits at that age and there's such a huge variation in the size of early teenage boys - some are already men, others still little boys, others like my ds starting to grow but haven't filled out at all so adult sized clothes are completely the wrong proportions

I wouldn't buy superdry if I were you, have bought ds 2 superdry t shirts for £25 each and they looked crap after two or three washes.

figroll · 13/11/2011 19:47

My dd won't wear Superdry and nor will her bf, they say it is chavvy! They never have a sale either which is very irritating. Obviously they don't think they need to have one.

Just goes to show how different everywhere is - at DS' school (considered nice school in a nice area), all the boys wear black superdry coats - very specifically with the orange writing on.

But agree they are very over priced for what they are.

Think you need to park up near his school and see what everyone is wearing.
