Shock He's 18, his girlfriend is nearly 17. I babbled something about him having hoovered his bedroom (wtf??) and walked out again.

We all have to eat a meal together in an hour, this is going to be fun Hmm

What on earth do i say and do? I've had he safe sex talk with him so I'm confident on that score, she's a very mature 16 and they have been together a few months.

I have no idea how to react. And would I have reacted differently if it has been 16 year old dd?

I need Wine but can't as i have to drive ds2's girlfriend home after tea.

You are having a bad day Grin

BoysInTheHood · 02/10/2011 19:18

Oh my, I remember my mum walking in on me and a boyfriend when I was about 17. My advice? Ignore, ignore, ignore!

Makeminealarge · 02/10/2011 19:18

yep, my mother walked in on me and my now DH. Cue horror, embarassment and stunned silences. To be honest, they will be far more embarassed than yourself. Don't make a big deal about it. Everyone has sex, as my mother says 'if you can't be good, be careful!' ;)

What's that Lady GaGa song about the disco stick?

You must tell the GF that it's been lovely having her and she is welcome to come whenever she likes.

gapants · 02/10/2011 19:22

My mum had to ask me and BF at the time to keep the noise down as they had guests over and we were making my bed bang against the wall, you know.....er rhythmically. Oh the shame of it now, we were 17 and completely plastered. Blush

I would do what lydia said too, be witty, get it out the way, move on. Sex is not shameful, lead by example and brash it out.

Oh dear! Best to knock in future.

Perhaps offer them extra portions at dinner time to "keep their strength up, WinkWink

SheCutOffTheirTails · 02/10/2011 19:26

I was going to say pretend it never happened, but I like GetOrf's suggestive lyrics playlist idea more.

You could start subtle and by the end of dinner be onto Lil Louis or 70s porn music :o

Get onto iTunes now before the dinner is ready.

I had a boyfriend who used to move his wardrobe to block the door when we didn't want to be disturbed. Grin
But seriously, doesn't anyone else out there knock?
And wait for a response?

margerykemp · 02/10/2011 20:07

Save it and tell the story to the grandkids.

DownbytheRiverside · 02/10/2011 20:31

Really?
How to be the MIL from Hell, especially if she doesn't marry your son. Grin
