Not all-nighters as far as I know. DD used to go to a local nightclub sometimes at age 14/15 when they put on what are referred to as 'nappy-nights' - under 18s dancing and soft drinks until 9pm.

There won't be anything for the under 18s, but as in the days when you were a teenager, I suppose, people get into clubs when they're under age.

DD has just informed me its not a night club, but a "gig"!

Its in London - Elephant and Castle

DD wants to go, but I really do not want her to go, we live about 2 hrs away from London on the train, apparently there is a group of them going for her friends 17th birthday!!

I have asked her for more information - but strangely enough she cant get hold of any! Hmm

Absolutely Maryz.

On one hand I am really pleased she has told me and been honest.
I really really do not want her to go, DH is sitting on the fence - saying well she will learn through her mistakes etc..... I believe that at times this is the right way to learn, but not when it could hurt/damage her for the rest of her life - ie - rape, drugs......
I still find it hard to believe that its an under 18 thing, I have tried to talk to her about the dangers etc.... But she thinks I am all doom and gloom.

At the moment I have said she is not going anywhere until she has given me proper information as to where she is hoping to go.

Maryz, DD is 16.

I asked her to provide some details about the so called "gig", and surprise surprise DD has now decided that actually its a lot of money to spend on one night and she has decided not to go!!!

Hmm

Thank goodness she has realised although I am not daft and I will purposely keep an eye on that date and make sure she has no sleepovers on that day!!!!
