App to reduce the number of hours you can use a device or wifi

I have gaming addiction and I find the best way to manage this is not to have internet at home or a smartphone. I lost my job and home due to my addiction but have recently got back on my feet with a new job & flat. My boss is keen for me to have a work laptop so I can work from home if my train is cancelled due to the weather. This does make sense as it cost me £70 to commute to work when my train was cancelled a few weeks ago.
Does anyone know of any app or blocker that could reduce my internet and/or device use to working hours only? My work device will either be a Windows laptop or Chromebook and I will be buying a dongle to use it with mobile wifi.

NetGear Orbi.

We use it at work (children’s home).

Thanks. I'll give it a try

At the simplest level, you could plug your Wi-fi router's power block (aka wall wart) into a basic timer, and only power it up between office hours.

If you're prepared to get a more involved, you could consider changing your router to one that has some form of "parental controls", some of which allow you to restrict specific sites or "types" (i.e. Betting/porn/gaming social media etc) from specific users at specific times.

Some also allow you to set individual user quotas, which might be relevant to you.

You can do this directly in my router's settings, and imagine ost routers now have this capacity.

Thanks for everyone's replies. I'm going to try a wall timer first of all & then the Net Gear Device if I relapse. I don't seem to have parental controls with the mobile dongle.
