Tell me about your tattoos!

Not a taat, just a bit of positivity thrown in to this grey morning. Feel free to nc. Please do not come here to tell me how much you hate tattoos, I just want to hear about yours, one's you've seen that you've loved, and what other tattoos you'd possibly think about getting in the future. I start with mine.... I have the silhouette of shoes hanging from a telephone line on my shoulder to represent my brother who passed away (his shoes are still there and I dread the day they are removed), and a kilimanjaro silhouette on my rib to remind me of the times I climbed it (x5). Nothing huge but I love them! Not planning on any more immediately but would never say never....

I have a large peony on my wrist which is a cover up and I love it
On my inside ankle I have a bit of a mishmash which is my DDs initials, a bee (I'm from Manchester but it's not a Manchester bee..it's so beautifully done) & a lotus flower. Sounds odd but I love it.

I have a holly leaf and a daffodil to represent my dc.

I've seen a camper van tattoo and a lighthouse one and they're lovely.

I have a sleeve one side that looks like a beach…there are some song lyrics it’s built round on my inner arm. They have meaning to me but no one else.
other side has what I’d guess you’d call a 3/4 sleeve…but it’s an amalgamation of several tattoo sittings with the same guy…he then moved to the other side of the country before it was finished into a full sleeve.

Two on my legs, vine down one side and just a random drawing by my current artist on the other side…no meaning…just liked them 😆

On another thread, we tattooed folk are deemed “not classy”. Made me laugh.

I have 6, one large one on my side which is a mix of flowers, a small butterfly bottom of my back. Another small flower next to my belly button, and these in my wrists which I absolutely love, dinosaurs as a constant reminder of my sons love of them (he's 9 now and still dinosaur mad) and the other of a cat as I love cats. My next tattoo will be of a snake (we have a corn snake) which I'm going to have done in the inside of my arm. I absolutely love tattoos and think they are such an expression of personality

I'm getting the butterfly touched up soon as it's lost it's definition and colour.

Also planning to get my nature theme continued up onto my upper arm.

All mine have a meaning. The top of my arm is entirely Star Wars, that's been my passion for many years. I have a few others dotted about, the baseline from Metallica's Orion on my foot for one. Just little meaningful things.

Currently working on the bottom of that arm and thats Disneyland based. I have fond memories of California as a child and especially my parents taking me on rides there. I try and get back over there a lot, it's my happy place!
I planned to have a few rides on my arm and started with The Haunted Mansion back in April. I can remember being a kid sat with my parents in the doom buggy and my utter amazement at how they projected a ghost into the car. I got off it and ran back to the queue.

My next piece will be Its A Small World. This was Dads favourite ride by far and another that sticks solidly in my mind. It's also my sons favourite too and I have happy memories of him singing his way around Disneyland annoying the life out of his sister (he was 24 at the time 😂). I'm looking at the Small World balloon with a boy and girl character in there to represent the children. The same artist will do it. Her style is wonderfully bright and gets a lot of comments.

I should have room for a third panel, which is probably going to be Pirates of The Caribbean, ride focussed not the movies though.

@TabithaTittlemouse soeey you replied to me about two months ago and I’ve only just noticed 🤦🏼‍♀️ Tried getting a photo but it’s in a really awkward place and I just can’t do it. These pics show my most recent one (the heart/all seeing eye/flowers) and also the one that has meaning (two forget me nots- one for my mum (passed away last year) and one for my dad (in nursing home. The flowers are the dementia symbol.

I have a few. I've got birth month flowers for all of the babies/pregnancies I've had. this is the one that means the most. Another one is of a mama lion with 2 cubs.

I'm currently planning my next one as I want a realistic husky/animal and finding a decent artist is really difficult.

I have some song lyrics in memory of my grandparents, and a matching 'Ohana' tattoo with my best friend and just book in for a quote that means a lot to me and reminds me that life is worth living and that even though I have hard days, the good are worth the bad.

I never did update with my small world piece. This finished my lower arm sleeve. Couple of gaps at the top now I’m looking to fill over the summer.

I also have a thigh piece of a fox and more florals (similar to the shoulder piece) on my ribs/underboob/sternum area.

Currently I’m just trying to decide what I would like next on my arm, as I’m working towards a half sleeve this year.

I have a floral and mandala half sleeve on my left forearm znd hand, a moon and floral on the back of my left elbow, qnd a floral design on my left shoulder znd upper arm. Slowly building a sleeve!
I have a couple of stupid ones I got at 16 from a very unscrupulous artist ha

This is pretty outing but I love them so I don’t care!

I’ve always hated my hands and now I love them. I got the little mouse last summer and the sun/moon yesterday.

@blooscloos those tattoos are stunning, you got a really talented artist.

My first was my dad's starsign on my 18th birthday as at the time he was dying of cancer.

Since then I've got a full arm sleeve, a leg sleeve, my sternum and ribs done, my fingers, and various others. I'm planning to get my hand and other fingers done soon.

Some of them are sentimental, I found an old signature of my dad's during covid lockdown and had that tattooed on me. I have tattoos to symbolise my siblings, Granddad, son and have a motorbike helmet and the year we got married on my ring finger for my husband. But I also have star wars tattoos, LOTR, anime, and song lyrics!

I'm trying to save for my hand tattoo and then will have my neck and sideburn tattooed!!
