Wtf has my rabbit done to herself?

This is my mini rex rump kind of above her back leg. We brought her in for a bit of a hand strip as she's moulting heavily. It's the size of about half a penny and doesn't yet look infected Wouldn't have seen it otherwise her fur is so thick.
If it's not closing and drying out in the morning I will be going to the vet.

I'm more concerned how she's done it as she was spayed a month ago and was indoors for ages and hasn't been out for a yomp with my neutered boy for about 3 weeks and only briefly as I need to wait 8 weeks for her to chill out after her spay.

She's in a hutch at night and I can't see any hazards in there nor has this happened before.
She's very much herself today and a solid eating machine like normal - no signs of distress though I know rabbits are secretive about this. The dds are baffled how she could have done this herself as she's a fat lump.

Any ideas?

Is it a scent gland?

if it’s not infected it will just heal over, not by morning though.

I'm hoping it will have at least calmed down. I'm not overly worried about the wound we can go to the vet and worst case she will get stitches and I will get a £350 bill it's more how's she's done it???

Google suggests it's not a scent gland it's essentially on her back not near her lady bits - they are v clean and normal looking I did check for dirty bum fly strike etc

Caught on a sharp edge of chicken wire or bitten by a rat, IMO.

I use this for my dags.- I think it's ok to use for a rabbit. Helps the wound close up quickly and prevents infection.

Well it's scabbed I'm astonished how it's shrunk and dried. I look like I've been attacked by a were wolf as she did not want to be picked up and inspected this morning!!!!
Dd1 has told me we are doing a full hutch inspection later and pulling all the straw out and the whole hutch to check for rat attacks - it's massive and weighs a ton but think dd1 is right.

Glad to hear it's healing up! A good idea to give the rabbit's home a thorough look over, not just for possible rat/mice getting in, but also for anything she might have scratched herself on such as stray nails or bits of wire that might have got bent.

If she has been recently spayed and rejoined her partner, it could well be an argument they've had. That fur can hide a lot!
