I want a huge cage for my Guinea Pigs.

I once saw a huge cage in a pet store for their GP's. It was so big I joked to my then 7 year old dd that she would have to climb inside to clean it. From memory I think about 2 m or 3m. I recall it was offered for sale about £700
I have over the years searched online for huge, big, grand, enormous, gigantic, xxl etc etc
My two girls seem happy in their 160cm indoor cage. The biggest I have found online.
But I still long to get a 2 or 3 metre enclosure.
Where would I get one? Europe? USA?
I have two cats so those lovely open top pens are not suitable.
Does anybody know where I could get an indoor absolutely mahoosive cage?

I paid a fortune for one at Kavee. Worth having a look for ideas but you can create on yourself with proplex from a builders and c&c grids from Amazon (which is what we did when we extended the cage)

I had two cages - took the “matching” doors away and cable tied them together, used bricks as steps.

Way cheaper than a cage that size would have been and they liked to sit on the bricks.

C and C cages are pretty big, you can put them together to make the size/shape you want.

You could make one for a lot less than £700 if you or anyone you know is competent with a saw etc. Then you can have a bespoke cage.

C&c from Amazon is what we use, altho make sure it’s the 9 squares across rather than 6 as they can get their heads stuck if small enough on the 6 square one, can easily make a liftable lid using the grids and some zip ties. Make it 2 grids high if lidded and you’ll have enough space to sit in there Grin dd loves to sit with them and feed them their veggies. Can make as big as you please and add second levels ect and it’s great for clipping toys and hides ect to. You can buy the full version including base for about £200 if you just search c&c cage from kavee but it’s a very very easy diy the plastic for base simply head to b&q and they’ll cut it for you leave a little extra for sides heat and bend so there’s a lip around edge to catch any fall out of poops or hay. Bonus of it being completely smooth on the base for cleaning as I hated cleaning cages as the bottom is usually textured so much more easily wipeable.

Thank you @Guineapigwoes @TheHappyCarrot and @tattychicken for your ideas and suggestions! Much appreciated.
@tabulahrasa So, you buy two identical cages, put them end to end, take off the butting two ends, tie together with cable ties and put a brick in each cage for GP to climb over the tray joints? I love it!

I see that I can buy one more cage identical to the one I have, and double their housing. Awsome! xx

I’m pretty sure I did 3 bricks in each, 2 then 1 so it wasn’t too steep and the join was completely covered.

I’d bought the biggest cage I could - put them in it and went, oh, no... how can they say that’s big enough?, so got another rather the same than scrapping that one and getting a new one altogether.

Thank you @Snowtrails This is great! I will whip out the tape measure later. Maybe I could add this one to the one I have.

I used to breed pigs. I've used so much stuff as enclosures. The best by a Country mile was a wardrobe on its back lined with proplex. They LOVED the extra space.
