Could I get a neatherland dwarf to live with my mini lop?

My mini lop is around 5 months old. She’s friendly and tame. I just feel sometimes she’s lonely. She sleeps in the house at night and in the evening before bed has the run of the living room and dining room with my chihuahua. But during the day she’s in her outdoor hutch with a run on the grass. Would I be able to get a baby neatherland dwarf to live with her?

So long as they’re both done I would have thought so - we had a dwarf Netherland and a Dutch bunny together. They had runs next to each other for about a week then they were happy together and soon best friends.

You shouldn't bond until they are both neutered; I'd suggest neutering your rabbit (if not yet done) then adopt from a rescue (as the new bunny will then already be neutered & vaccinated). That will give you the best chance of successful bonding & healthy buns.
Rabbits aren't too fussed by size differences but a mini lop will be quite a bit larger than a nethie. They love having a friend so great you are considering it.
I'd suggest being open to breed though as the rescues can help look for the best personality match.
Also worth considering potential for increased likelihood of dental & ear issues associated with brachycephalic breeds.

She needs to be spayed and bonded with a neutered husbun. If you have some good rescues nearby, they can help with the bonding once your girl is spayed. Bonding is tricky, they pick their partners best, not you, a good rescue will do "speed dating" to find the right match.

Just to add, your girl needs to be neutered even if she stays single or bonded with another (neutered) female. Womb cancer is very common - 80% of female rabbits over 5 years old.
