Awww love piggies
They aren't really big on toys but they do like things to hide in . Tunnels , boxes . Keep on ground level , babies are agile , lardy adults , erm, less so .
They love food !
Parsley bell ( I used to buy from The Range or Wilko) solid dried parsley grass type bell shape
They love herbs , your neice might like some growing herbs ( just make sure nothing can pee/poo on them , like cats /foxes etc) You could try some parsley , mint , coriander in a container .
If she has fleeces I would 100% recommend a PetBag to wash them, basically a zip up back that protects the washing machine from the stray hay and fur
Or if you want to splash out , Bunny Business has some lovely runs . Vartous sizes ( I had a 7'x4' one + a 4'x4' ) they are about 4' high so you can put a housie in. And they need secured , we used heavy tent pegs .
The triangular ones are mote linited for space .
Guinea pigs are very vunerable they need protected from heat/cold/damp/draughts/sun/predators .
SnuggleSafe Pads are really good , just follow the heat instructions . I dispensed with the fleece cover as they stink , I wrapped in newspaper and tucked it under the bedding
Gorgeous Guinea shampoo and some good clippers if she's going to trim their claws (otherwise its a vet trip)
You need ones that will cut clean, not crush the claw . My favourite were like a scissor with a circular 'notch' so the cutting blade was like a guilotine . (They are snippy little toads to trim the claws , get her to watch a few YouTube videoes and if she can enlist a helping hand to hold them. Pink claws are so much easier than black claws to see the '
quick
Mine wouldn't entertain any form of toy if they couldn't scoff it , they didn't want it .
Don't even think about balls and wheels , they can damage their spine .
