Help - Guinea Pig dragging back legs

Help.... came home today and my lovely 2 year old girl is dragging her back legs behind her. Doesn't seem in pain, is eating and drinking.... Vet open at 8.15am so will bring her straight in but does anyone know what this could be? The thought of losing her is terrifying.

Thanks so much for the well wishes x She's on day 8 now of her anti inflammatories and vitamin booster, still no change... but she is still eating, drinking, loving her cuddles etc. I've made another vet appointment for Friday afternoon, my vet is lovely and will hopefully offer some suggestions for keeping her happy, comfortable and mobile. She's such a brazen little thing, full of life and attitude, the thought of having to PTS can't actually happen in my head right now because she's such a happy girl... how could I do that to a happy and otherwise healthy pig?

Sending love and positive thoughts.

I so hope that she’ll turn the corner and out-pig herself x

And thank you to the PPs who have pointed out how difficult, and distressing an amputation might be. I do know their little bodies aren't designed to be 3 legged at all and I guess it's good to hear an outsiders view and advice because I'm just emotional right now and can't imagine letting her go, she hasn't left my side for the last 10 days, in the office, sleeping, eating with me ☹ But I promise I won't prolong her life just for the sake of my heart if she's not the happy little Bish (she's my Chonky Bish 🙈) I've known and loved. It's just hard.... I've honestly fallen so hard for my 2 girls in the short space of 2 years, but I do want whats best for them so please advise me x

Personally I wouldn't amputate as it's a big operation and your piggie is not actually any better off. She still won't be walking properly.
Bear in mind they can seem quite happy literally up until they keel over and die. Rodents are just like that. They can mask pain well. My DH described them as young almost all of their life then briefly old before they die.
I think you just need to see how she goes, keep checking her skin and take your vets advice.
My paralysed piggie was still chomping on hay when she could no longer use any of her legs but that wasn't sustainable for her.
Your girl sounds very sweet and well looked after.
