not sure if this is the right category! Does anyone else have stick insects. We got 4 indian stick insects last week from a friend who had eggs, They're absolutely amazing little creatures, fascinating to watch!
Am looking to get some more-the ones that look like leaves.
Im pretty new to this tho, anyone else have stickies and know where I can source some responsible breeders? thanks

I have indian stick insects but don't know about breeders for other types sorry. Have you got a local exotics shop?

As the previous poster said, try your local reptile shop - they will also deal with insects. There are some online sellers too, like BugzUK.

Ah, yes no reptile shops nearby. n of scotland. I've seen a few FB pages selling eggs/nymphs but they post them? in this freezing weather I'm not sure they'd survive! BugzUK seem decent though! thanks!

We started with four Indian stock insects and ended up with over 200 Shock

ah twistedsistersocks...we've been warned about the reproducing!
Our plan is to collect and freeze all eggs as this is considered the most humane method of dispatch. Might keep a few as our girls age so we still have some going forward!

We kept local schools (and not do local!) going for months. The eggs can take weeks or months to hatch and many never do.
