Rabbit in stasis

My fur babies are the happiest healthiest rabbits, they eat plenty of hay, live in a 2 floored playhouse with constant access to an 8ft round run. During daylight they are free range in the garden.
The vets are always happy with their teeth and weight.
Yet every so often we go to let them out in the morning and one of them will be unhappy, cross face and not coming out, refusing to eat.
We generally spot this straight away and have painkiller and gut medicine ready so they can have a dose before we get to the vets. This happens every 6-8months.
This time it doesn't seem to be resolving.
Started Wednesday evening dosed up rabbit and made him run around the garden a bit, still not right in the morning, dosed again and visited the vet.
They gave subcut fluids, advised max doses of drugs we were already giving, and we brought some critical care food.
Advised to carry on with what we were doing.

Brought rabbit in and have been feeding him, giving water, making him move all day.
Got him some fresh forage this evening.
He's eating, drinking and moving, but he's still not pooed.

Not the best Christmas.

Vet is calling in the morning.

You can help get things along by gently massading his tummy and encouraging him to hop around. Are you sure he isnt eating the poos before you can check for them? Carry on wuth the syringe feeding if you can, little and often and make it up fairly liquid will help with hydration.

I believe bunnies will not eat during the night (i think) so try not to stress too much this evening and talk to vet tomorrow

Thanks. We've been massaging his tum - he seems to quite like like it and will eat like mad while I'm doing it - I can hear his gut rumbling but he definitely isn't pooing.
