Is anyone's bunny a house bunny in the winter and a mainly hutch/ outside run bunny in summer?

Just wondered if this works as aware they can't be in and out at this time of year, it's one or the other!
Thinking of bringing our girl ( single as we adopted her a few months ago) into the house for winter. She loves it when she comes in, poos and weed mostly in her tray and loves sitting on the windowsill watching the world go by/ stretching out doing that bunny flip thing!
I'm summer I'd rather she's out on grass but just wondered if anyone does the properly being a house rabbit on a seasonal basis.

I did with one of mine. She was fine with the arrangement.

That's good to know! So far so good here, she has free run of front room and kitchen during day and into her dog cage at night where she basically chills and eats!

Why can't you do both ? My 4 year old bun, is outdoors all day and in at night.

My two live in a big grassy run in summer, but I moved them into a stable in September as they looked cold, and they're doing great in there, lots of room and straw to burrow in, but out of the cold and wet.

I think it's not great for them to be inside and outside during winter as they don't grow a proper coat due to the heating inside and then get cold when they're put outside. I think it's probably better to pick a climate (indoor or outdoor with a good source of shelter) and let their body and coat acclimatise to it (with added shelter/cover/warmth if outdoors in v cold weather).

Of course you can. They are adaptable ☺
