...in which fleeky pig is in the doghouse!!!

Well. Fleeky pig the 'dominant' one has been very unpleasant leaving Curly and Shiny with nasty bite wounds on their rumps and Curly with a torn ear Sad

I have given them all a bath and they seem OK but obviously I can't let Fleeky keep attacking the others so I have fenced him off a 'studio' section of the ground floor with a hut while Curly and Shiny share the remaining maisonette.

Is there any coming back from this or do I need to get Fleeky his own hutch?

Boar trios are tough - I know your previous pigs were a harmonious trio but they were older and had their house in order WRT hierarchy.
I once emailed a breeder about the pigs he was selling (in threes) he replied that it worked well and he never had any problems, and there wasn't a situation with a lone pig when one died.

Your boys are young aren't they? Under the 5-6 month Teenage Years.

Has anything changed to upset them? Does the Alpha boar feel trapped or threatened in the hutch or have the other two revolted against him?
Some pigs don't get on (my pig is a right little turd to our boar, I have never seen aggressiion like it - we have GP7/GP8 sows on one side, GP6 boar on another to chat)

It would be worth going right back to basics- neutral ground . Big paddling pool is good. Fill with hay. Stand by to literally throw the towel in if there's a scrap.
Move everything in their hutch , make it all neutral, make sure there's nowhere a pig can get trapped by his cagemates.
There's a brilliant article I read on the 'Danger Signs' to watch (our girl did them all, teeth chattering so much we could hear it, leaping into the air, flying at GP6 . This was after stuffing down a plate of grass together Hmm ).
Look at Rodents With Attitude, Guinea Lynx, (there was a site called Barmy4Boars but IIRC its been amalgamated into another site)

If they can't live together then you can't force harmony unfortunately.

My lovely soppy boy Bert was fighting with his brother in Rescue -he really is as daft as a brush but obviously didn't like his brother . ! Hence him being neutered and coming to live with us.

Thanks 70 - don't think we have to give up yet, I just can't leave them unsupervised! They have all been bathed and in the outdoor run together without incident but for overnight I think fleeky will need to stay in his annex until I can trust him. They can socialise through the mesh so he isn't alone but I can't let him beat the others up when I'm not watching! We'll have to play it by ear....

Well separate-but-together is working so far...no more injuries for Curly or Shiny and they seem calm and happy together. Fleeky is grumpy but fine...i'm going to give it a few days side-by-side to let wounds heal then have a go at getting them together again with supervision.

Fleeky and Shiny both love Curly but hate each other! Going to let things settle then maybe get another piggy to live with the one who doesn't get to keep Curly - silly pigs!

Lucky Curly! Do you think he's enjoying them fighting over himShock. Hope you manage to get those rambunctious boys sorted.
