I have two bonded bunnies, one boy, one girl. She's the boss. Boy bunny has a bald patch between his eye and nose, and the skin looks as if it's been scalded - hard to explain, not a cut, just as if the top layer of skin isn't there. I took him to the vet today but he was stumped. He's taken a photo to send to their rabbit expert contact. The nurse who is an experienced bunny owner thought possibly ringworm but it's not bothering him so not convinced by this.
Looking at them in their run this evening it occurred to me that it could be that she is over grooming him in that patch, perhaps this is why the skin looks sore, maybe she's licking him too much in one spot? Does that sound in any way feasible??? If so, is there anything I can do to stop it?
