Long but narrowish cage for indoor guinea pigs?

We have a pair of sows in a 100cm cage, which I now realise is much too small. We've got room to increase the cage length to 150cm but the width needs to be no more than 55cm. All the 150cm cages I can find are 70cm or wider - does anyone know of narrower versions?

Your best bet really is a C&C set-up ( if you Google it'll show you examples of Pig Cages). And the Guinea Pig Forum has some photos

I bought some panels from Costco (not C&C but similar) they were 14" squares. They have corner fastenings but we added some cable ties (snipped the loose ends off to stop chewing)

I made a lovely big run for our pigs last winter , but they just sat in their haybed Grin so I put them back in their night cage (it's 2'x4') just to sleep in.

C&C needs a base, (I used tarpalulin and cardboard because I'm a cheapskate) but you can get the material that estate agent signs are made from and cut to fit. (The C&C stands for Cube and Coroplast)

You can make upper levels , 'loft' sleeping areas. Lots of owners use fleece to line the flooring.
Change the shape to keep them interested?

I've looked at C&C cages, and they do look good but I really want something with a more substantial base as it's going to be on 2 tables pushed together. So I'm not sure whether I could make a grid base as the grids would need to overlap, and then it will be lumpy / uneven. Or would it be easy to bend the grids, do you think?
