Bonkey - how did this happen?

Bonkey · 27/03/2015 19:59

I got conned!

Stupid cute fluffy faces Angry.

I'm reading up because its been years since I had rabbits and I came across a thread where I say 'rabbits are evil' Hmm

They will be stable rabbits though....not sure the pigs would have been muchly impressed at fluffy ears running round the place Grin .

There's a fair few threads on here about rabbit keeping!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/03/2015 09:05

Grin Stable Rabbits (can you get unstable rabbits? ) are different to HouseBuns. Bit like StableCats and HouseCats (do what they like).

We're having garden work done, we have a large concrete fenced in bit (about two car sized) that is a rough dumping ground. I thought "Mmm could fence it in, build a shelter, tunnel round to the grass, build a run......rabbits"

I smothered the idea in it's sleep before it grew legs.

If you have the room and you can give a few bunnies a good home, then they'll love you Grin

Guinea-Pigs won't mind the rabbits, GPs know they are the superior beings.

Bonkey · 28/03/2015 11:18

You know that if I have stable rabbits the pigs are safe at home for the time being Wink No transition for them! They breathed a huge sigh of relief when I told them!

They will sniff me and think 'Urgh! Rabbits! Mum has touched rabbits' and walk off in disgust Hmm.

I don't know about love me - my last rabbits wouldn't have pee'd on me if I was on fire Hmm.
But they were perky eared ones! These are loppy eared ones - different animal altogether I hope .

just need names!

OP posts:
Coffeethrowtrampbitch · 28/03/2015 16:02

Can we see fluffy cute pictures in return for helping with names? I really think they should look like their name so pictures would help worst justification for seeing cute bunny pics ever

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/03/2015 16:18

I made the cardinal sin error of going into a Petshop (in a shopping centre) and I was mentally naming the rabbits and guonea-pigs

I came out empty handed though.....................

YY BunPics are de rigeur Wink

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/03/2015 16:21

FernieB · 28/03/2015 18:31

Mabel, Jessica, Maud, Delilah for girls and Fergus, Arnold, Walter or Jeremy for boys Grin

Bonkey · 28/03/2015 19:41

Meet Flopsy (because of his wonky one sided ears - I wanted 'Wonky) and Sandy because my son wanted 'Sand'....we compromised with Sandy!

Turn out I had no choice in names Hmm.

Sandy is a girl, Flopsy boy - they will both be snipped asap!!!!! I do not want baby bunnies!

Colours - Sandy is grey with sandy bits Grin , Flopsy is grey.

Age - 9 weeks.

They have adjusted very well to stable living and are suprisingly sociable and incredibly cute - especially when they binky and run like headless chickens!

I am a sucker! Grin

They are luffley ,

BonkyTB and the BonkyPigs have got competition Grin

My favourite names for grey animals are Taggart (as in the grumpy wee Glasgie Detective) , Storm, Tarragon or Kermit (well you don't get many green furries)

Neville
Heston

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/03/2015 20:30

You can still call him "Wonky" , all animals answer to food more than names (very annoying when you sit there are think of nice names)

southeastastra · 28/03/2015 20:32

they're lovely! rabbits are the best pet ever (imoho)

Millie2013 · 28/03/2015 21:28

They have a whole stable to live in? Lucky rabbits!
They are v cute and I would definitely get the boy at least snipped ASAP, I've had a rescue rabbit breeding incident myself and it was a hassle trying to find homes for babies

Bonkey · 28/03/2015 23:08

Yep, a stable big enough that my ex racehorse has plenty of space in - very spoilt bunnies. Although they will be locked up at night and may possibly have to be hutched if the horse is in there while I get him ready/fuss but he lives out so its no theirs and the horse can borrow it Wink

Does anyone know the earliest I can get one snipped or spayed?
I got told 4 months???
Off to research it now...

I could sit and watch them all day....

WonkyEaredWonderBun is secretly my favourite... Wink

Don't tell PrettyBun!

Can you tell which is which [grin}
