Want to help name my rabbit?

'Terry' the rescue rabbit will be welcomed home soon (after sourcing a cage that I could comfortably live in). He's huge. And all fluffy headed.

He's a grumpy wee midden and doesn't care for the company of other rabbits. Mostly white with some brown.

I need a name for him.

What's wrong with "Terry" though Grin

But a white/brown animal has to be "Oreo" like my Himalayan Guinea-Pig (white with chocolate ears/nose and some of her feet. The name came as an inspiration driving her home. )
Some pets you have to get to know them before you can name them.
Grumpy wee midden indeed Wink
How about "Midden" (for those who don't know , it's a Scottish expression for Muck Heap or Dung Heap. Unlike "Coup" which is untidy mess,

chockbic · 16/10/2014 15:51

Trevor or Victor as in Meldrew.

Moghedien · 16/10/2014 15:58

Midden as he honks 70. He needs his op, booking him in when we pick him up.

Aw Bless Him - is he a manky little (or not so little) bunny?

Once he's been done and spruced up a bit, you'll see his true character Smile

Have you got rabbit company for him to chat to, even if he can't be in a bonded pair?

Moghedien · 16/10/2014 16:29

He's just a smelly huge bunny, he seems to be well groomed though in that his hind is clean and clear. I think he'll need his cage and tray changed twice a day rather than one until his op.

This is our first bunny, we were advised to keep him alone. Once he's settled with us though we'll be reviewing once he's had a chance to come into his own.

He'll have run of the house and we're building a run out the back, nothing to stop us having it separated to allow some company. We've joined a few rabbit forums and a friend has the most pampered of house rabbits so I'm pestering him for advice.

I am soooo excited. I want to go get him NOW!

It seems name likes Terry are very 'in' for rabbits. Here's Keith.

I may name him Chesney, after Chesney Hawkes.

Ok, it's a boy..

How about Humper?

Mouldypineapple · 16/10/2014 22:03

Ours is called Leo as he's half lion head (and half no idea what!!)

Moghedien · 16/10/2014 22:03

Grin Humper! Hahaha

My big rescue boy is called Percy really suits him .

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/10/2014 22:50

Chesney is good but I'd spare his blushes and tell him it's after Chesney from Coronation Street rather than Mr I Am The One and Only Hawkes.

Just so that he can hold his head up if the wild rabbits pootle round. (We don't get wild guinea-pigs round our way so my piggies aren't fazed)

Shane is good (MacGowan)

BunnyBunnyBunny · 16/10/2014 22:56

Mine are Chas, Dave and Mister Tom. Dave is actually a girl but she's quite a bruiser so it suits her.

Sounds like your Terry/Chesney/Humper has a lovely home waiting for him, lucky bun :)

I like 'person' names for animals especially if when you call them it sounds as though you're calling a register in an old people's home.

Moghedien · 17/10/2014 15:19

'Terry' is home. Only a bloody female. Guy last week must have just went on the name.

Had her nails clipped before we left, she's chipped and has an app for vacs and spaying.

Came straight out of her box into the hutch for some hay and a wander. Have just left her to it to get settled. I am in love with her already.

Awww Welcome Home Bunny.

Still no nearer a name though Wink

FernieB · 17/10/2014 17:15

A grumpy female bun - they're my favourite kind. Can be very intelligent and trainable. My last such one understood various words and hand signals. Current Bun is a dopey boy and only has one signal, although he has learnt his routine and goes to bed on time Grin

Welcome grumpy bun Thanks.

Grin She is a 'personality'. Ignores her toys to flip and clang her food dish around. Her hutch has been open other than when we were sleeping and she's sniffed around but not came out yet.

DH wants to call her 'Lunch'. Sad

She's eating well, drinking plenty and has done toilet. Just wish i knew what her name was! Great suggestions, going to try them out.

Gretal or Gretta Garbo if she wants to be alone. Not Dora if she's not an explorer Grin
