I posted on another thread a couple of weeks ago that GP2 was pregnant much to our surprise! Vet said birth was imminent and she has finally, 2 weeks later, given birth to three babies!! And I wasn't even home for it to happen, on my way home now, DH says she is cleaning then up now!

Squeeee! So excited to get home and see them. Will post pics later when I can

She doesn't have a minute to herself! The diving for comfort happens, almost feel sorry for her sometimes.
The little ones are eating more and more solids, so I guess will just wait and let nature happen - it's fascinating to see how mum pig just copes with it all really.

My little Himalayan rescue (with our tricolour) had been weaned away from their piglets the day before we got them.

Himalayan is so skitty (she's settling down now) I cannot imagine her in piglet-feeding induced docility Grin

She eyeballs our boar very judgily (he's still in waiting, 2 weeks to go post neutering) "Yes I fell for that sort of charm last time Sonny Jim. Do One ".

DD says "Oh you are too teeny to have had piglets" but it's true.

Mum pig is back to her skinny self almost, and I can't believe she actually had these three inside her.

That's funny about your Himalayan eying up the boar! I will be moving any boars to another cage swiftly once we know if there are any.

Babies have learnt to squeak for food like mum and our other GP do now. Second I come into the lounge in a morning they all start and don't stop until food is in the cage. And they are unimpressed I feed the cats before I feed any of them! (The cats bat at my legs and head until I give in!)

GPs are fed first in this house (don't tell Current Bun).

Nice to hear the babies are learning how to train humans already Shock

I can't believe how much they are eating at the moment, babies must be on some sort of growth spurt!! DH reckons its every time I walk past their cage, like they know its me and they set off squeaking as they know I'll feed them. All five are so loud tho, I could hear them through lounge window when I was in the front watering plants this evening!

Going to search for one of the food threads, see if I can come up with some alternatives to offer them
