Come on out, where are you all??

Have been round to guinea 'nephews' today, they are out in their run Shock during the time of day when it wasn't hailstoning, and having a wonderful time running round squeaking Grin.. I even had a cuddle with lovely blond boy Boris, took them some dandelions and lush long grass. Big boys now squeak when they hear my voice, Boris goes into hiding, as obviously prefers his pellets and can't be tempted out by grass... yet.... but I am working on it! The two fighting brothers are now BFFs again, outside in very large run, and Boris and less arsey brother also get on, but not all three of them..... boys eh? Three girls together fine, boys, not so good....

spend alot of time with the white appliances now. Wink

I have been reminded about the fridge many times since my return and it's been made clear that the salad drawer needs replenishing

Fortified - do hope you are feeling better now. I am now slightly scared of 70 - if I sneeze will she send clove oil? Wink

Thanks for all your good wishes for DD - she had a slightly burst appendix and we both stayed in hospital for what felt like years but was only 4 nights. Long enough for the salad drawer to be emptied by the 3 boys. It has now been thoroughly cleaned out and replenished and a large parsley pot has also been purchased. No-one does guilt trips quite as well as a pig Confused. Current Bun was not happy at my return. He had convinced DH that he had 2 biscuits for breakfast/supper and was miffed this morning that it was '1 biscuit mum' back in charge.

Guineapiglet - glad your nephews are doing well. Boris sounds like a master of the guinea guilt lip! You'll have to throw some fertiliser on the dandelions to make sure they grow big enough.

Grin In my defence (I'm sure there is one somewhere) when GP2 died last year we sat with GP1 and GP2 in the front room, letting them sprawl out, giving parsely, allowing a rather protective GP1 to 'care' for his brother. Then at the last twitchey moment I cuddled him, so he was in my arms.

But I can't cuddle the fish (and I couldn't leave him gasping) so there was only the Clove Oil and Freezer option (apparently clove knocks them unconscious- some people go straight to freezer which is a bit harsh).
Philip was someone elses fish (another Fishnet poster, ours was Jamie)

On the Guinea-Pig Mum Health Front, I had a scan yesterday (ongoing abdominal pain) so while I'm waiting for the results, I'll stay away from the cloves Grin

FernieB · 07/03/2014 12:27

Hope you feel better soon 70. I was intrigued by the use of clove oil and freezer as I hadn't heard that before. It certainly was the kind thing to do. You can't really take a fish to the vets to be PTS. Poor Phillip.

FernieB · 07/03/2014 12:30

Previous Bun had her last 'twitchy moments' in my arms. It was a comforting time for both of us. Very hard to do that with a fish Confused
