Just wondering because Scruffypig is curled up asleep but making some lovely little grunty noises.

One of mine does. He doesn't really squeek, but he's constantly making some sort of noise, grunting and humphing when he's awake, and grunting or snoring when asleep. How the other two put up with it I don't know! I did get him checked out at the vets but he's fine, just likes the sound of his own voice! It is cute!

AAAW Fernie, cute picture of Scruffy all curled up snoring - maybe he has 'narrow' airwaves or something, bless his little heart. I wonder if he is dreaming, I mean they must dream about something, surely? Dreams of endless parsley, or cucumber, fields of grass, cuddles? Either way up, he is contented, well fed, and loved, a perfect cue for a christmas photo - with hats and bells of course!! Sweet dreams, Scruffy XXX

Aww ScruffyPig.- Abbysinan and proud?
Our little Abby boy used to make an assortment of weird noises too Grin
He did a purr if he was happy
A nom nom nom noise that sounded like a little grunty hog when he smelled nice food

I think it's to do with the Abby nose being shortyer than a smooth pig nose.

But it is so cute Wink

I think they call that "abbytude!"

Yes, I think the blunt snout swine (like pugs and bulldogs) probably tend to sound more snorty due to the short air passages. I think it also depends on the position they're in. Have been there with two snoring swine on my lap, which is actually quite nice!

FernieB · 13/11/2013 13:33

Never thought about his nose shape before - he's so hairy you can't really see it Grin. He is a noisy boy anyway, so adding snoring to his repertoire is no surprise. Guineapiglet - I am now thinking of making him a little Santa hat, although it might look better on Smooth because he's white.

They need a hat each Fernie otherwise it looks like favouritism.

And of course one for Current Bun (but he'd need chin elastic and holes in the hat for his lugholes)
Actually, you could dress the pigs as Elves and Current Bun as Father Christmas.

(Our boys were made to delighted to wear their red Santa Hats each Christmas Eve. Our little Abby boy wore his at a jaunty angle with his cheeky little fatty eye glint Grin.
Not sure how GP3 is going to respond to the 70 Boars tradition )

FernieB · 13/11/2013 20:22

He'll probably try to eat the hat Grin

I will work on my boys for a special Christmas photo.

Yes OB snored in his old age. He was a mismarked Dutch and had a bit of a ratty shaped faced TBH.

Milly Pig dreams, you know she's in a dream, her ears waggle Smile

FernieB · 15/11/2013 08:02

What kind of dream requires ear waggling? Flying? Scaring crows?

Guineas ears move when they wheek excitedly or eat something chewy.
So the ear waggling dream must be a "tucking into a huge pile of food " dream.
Grin

They just CBA to wheek or chew.

Fernie - ScruffyPigs noises might not be snoring.........................could be wind Envy
