Houdini rabbit and run time....

We have two rescue Bun's,
our male has a double storey hutch and an attached 8ft x 2ft run.
He's a lovely boy and although he has occasionally dug out,he normally either is back of his own accord pretty fast or comes into the house Grin

Our new female however,is in a large hutch with no run at the moment because whenever she's in a run,she digs out within minutes!
So she can only be allowed out supervised.
I feel so sorry for her,and although she has plenty of room in her hutch,She has a harness and is happy to have a walk about in the garden on that, she's held lots and comes in to the living room for a run about too,but it's just not the same as being able to run and roll about in the grass is it?

We had planned to bond the two of them next week (she's just been neutered) but at the moment that's not really feasible either,as it would mean our boy bun losing his run Sad

Any ideas?!

We solved the digging by putting down wire mesh, you can either cover the entire floor area or about a foot in from all sides, the grass grows through and looks fine. Never caused a problem in 3 years.

Oh! You genius! Why on earth didn't I think of that?!

Haha, you'd be amazed how long it took us to think of too!
Good luck bonding the bunnies, slow and steady is the key.
