DC are going to be upset. Sad

Would I be too mean to wait till they get home from school tomorrow to tell them?

poor bunnies Sad

Well you can put OP down with G as your back up.

Went to open eve at F last night, dh was horrified at how little it had changed in 20 years!

DD was one of the Yr7 guides last night Smile

It was hell on earth but the Yr 7s were very enthusiastic, not impressed that apparantly all the junior schools "send us average students and we turn them into outstanding ones" oh and you don't need to be able to afford to live in the right area to go there, urm really????

Clearly P and WB are no more expensive than central Add or Sheer!!!!!

I can endorse the don't bury it yet policy
ours gave all indication of being dead, luckily it wasn't buried straight away, lived a good few more months afterwards!

When I was little we had hamsters.....more than once we thought they had died - cue much weeping and wailing and rending of garments (we're a dramatic family), then my sisters, brother and I watched in awe as my mum put "dead" hamster into a sieve and held him over our open fire!

Once they'd warmed up, they came out of hibernation and were fine for many more months.
Disclaimer - my mum has had no veterinary training, and I do not recommend this procedure. Grin

Is that what they said??? Wow not sure the Junior school heads will like that when they get to hear about it. LOL

FWIW DD seems to be liking it there so far.

Re the hamster. It has been in same position for 2 days but it was only today that I felt brave enough to get DH to poke it.

22.07 Curious Mama petshop a GP.

Please no no no -

GPs need to be in pairs not alone. They are sociable little mammels.
And not PetShop guineas- Rescue all the way.

BTW did anyone see the WatchDog programme yesterday?

I went to P@H and they had no GPs - boar/sow cages empty. Confused

Maybe the negitive publicity.

Sad for hamster .

Hamster is now boxed up and ready for newsbreaking and burial.

Althought the 'he may be hibernating' thing is making me think I might wait another day. His eyes are half open. But he feels dead. Sad
