caught a big mean fox with my bunny in its mouth thwacking it on the ground. I seen the brute off and brought bunny in doors and she is fine.

anyway the problem is, i only have a cat carrier for her to sleep in and this obviously not ideal but ok just for over night. but the fox keeps coming back in garden its a big fox and prowels around unafraid of me. it came in my garden lastnight shit all over the place. so its determind to mark its place.

I had to put rabbit in hutch while I went to uni this morning and iv suppervised her in the run today, but cant bunny sit all day.

also worried about dd playing in the garden as this fox is brazen.

my question is what do I do to get rid of this fox? can I buy repelent, if so does it work? Is contacting rspca or pest controle an option, would they intervien?

you could try something like this
It will affect cats too though if you have any
otherwise all i can suggest is you buy one of these!

You could try something like the product I linked to here although I have a suspicion foxes are hard bastards who are not easily scared.

thanks will look into the repeller quite a cost for me though, is it effective do you know?

would love the second option though Grin

borrow a dog for a couple of days. let it out in the middle of the night to bark and wee.

Please please please, get the bunny looked at by a vet. And insist on antibiotics!!
I had a bun that was also bitten by a fox!! Fortunately for bun, my dad wasn't best pleased, and lets say that was the last time that particular fox attacked anything!!
Anyhow took bun to vet, who told us she was fine. I later on, actually found some bite marks on her. Still I thought she would be fine.
Yet a month later I found her dead in her cage for no apparent reason, so I assume the fox gave her something nasty, as she was living with her daughter who was fine!!
Also a new hutch if you can afford it, my bun was desperate to not been in the cage she was attacked in, and we had to swap her with our boy bun.

thanks for advice natty, the bunny has no marks on her, i called the vet as i was worried about the bashing on the ground she took. The vet said only bring her down if she shows sign of shoc or displays frantic or unusually docille behaviour.

she wasnt taken from hutch she was free in the garden.

sorry about your bunny natty.

thats not a bad idea colditz but the only dogs i know are small and would worry fox may harm them.

After many nights of appearing semi-naked in my garden armed with a garden hose to deter the fox - following being woken by stamping bunny feet - we resorted to surrounding the hutch with electric fence. It seems to have worked so far. We hear the odd surprised howl occasionally, but I think that's when a different fox decides to use our garden as a thoroughfare!
