I HATE fireworks. Angry A few years ago, I lived in Southall where Diwali is a really big deal. Two of my rabbits died because of fear of the fireworks. I brought them inside, but the bloody fireworks actually shook our house.

I really, really wish that they could be limited to public displays only. Mind you, even then wild animals must be absolutely terrified.

Fireworks are horrible, horrible things!

Only one of mine wasn't interested. One died instantly and one took about 24 hours. It was awful.

I have rabbits in the garden now, but a neighbout's started with rockets.

Grrrrrr.

Just saw/heard the first fireworks for the year as well. Agree that they're dangerous in the wrong hands - last year a teenage boy threw one, which JUST missed me, but landed only a foot away from ds, who was 3. I was freaking out about burns, his eyes, etc, but I was also really worried about ds's hearing, although it ended up being ok.

Lucky for the lad he was on a bike, on the other side of the road, or I would probably have killed him.

can you bring the rabbit in?

GoldenHaze · 16/10/2010 20:49

I could bring them in, but I think that would stress them possibly unnecessarily as they've always lived outside. My dog is a foxhound and is very 'interested' in rabbits which may cause a problem too.

Hmmmm, if the fireworks get worse I'll bring them in.
