I’m looking for some advice and hopefully a few success stories.
I’ve been smoking weed daily for quite a long time and I also smoke more than 10 cigarettes a day. I’ve got to the point where I genuinely want to stop both. I’m fed up with planning my life around smoking, spending the money, and worrying about the impact on my health.
My biggest question is whether it’s realistic to quit weed and tobacco at the same time. The two habits are so linked for me that I’m not sure quitting one without the other would work, but I’m also worried about how difficult the withdrawal might be if I stop both together.
If you’ve done this, what was it like? How did you cope with the cravings, irritability, anxiety, boredom and sleep issues? Did you use nicotine patches, gum or anything else to help? How long did the worst of it last?
I’m feeling quite determined but also nervous. At the moment I smoke weed every day and more than 10 cigarettes a day, so I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been in a similar position and come out the other side.
Thank you.

Quit cannabis first then tobacco. Cannabis you don’t really get withdrawal, it’s not actually addictive it’s your mindset thinking it is.

Yes I know cannabis is easier to quit as I’ve done it before but I wanted to quit both at the same time. I have been smoking tobacco for over 15 years and I am tired of constantly having to spend £25 every couple of days on a tobacco pouch.

Could you book onto an Alan Carr Easy way to quit smoking course. They do work!

There's really helpful stop smoking medication now - really good for cravings. You could ask your GP/smoking cessation clinic about it.
Cytisine (also known as cytisinicline) is the newest I think.

They do and they also offer courses for drug users!

Hypnotherapy worked for me.
