Partner still failing drug test 2 weeks after use

My partner has a drug problem (cocaine) which he was ‘working on’ (I found out a month ago). I gave him another chance as I was convinced he would get the help he needs and fight it for me and for my daughter (2 yo). 2 weeks ago I caught him on our cctv picking up drugs outside the house. I chucked him out. Now I am drug testing him whenever he wants to see our daughter and I’ve said I’ll only allow unsupervised visits when he can show me a negative test. His tests have been positive for cocaine for 2 weeks now and he’s saying he hasn’t done it since I last caught him on the cctv. Has anyone ever experienced a positive urine test 2 weeks later??? Or am I being naive in believing this was the last time he did it?

I really don’t know what to do! I stupidly left my job in April as our daughter wasn’t getting on well in childcare so have no job, it’s his house and we are not married. I feel so stupid for believing he would take care of us and can’t believe I’m in this situation! Do I have any rights over the house? I really don’t know what to do!

It wouldn’t be detectable in urine after 2 weeks, AlphBiolabs tests say it’s detectable for up to 4 days in their urine tests, but are your tests trustworthy? Google the brand and see the manufacturer’s info.
You need to make plans to find a job and find more childcare. You wouldn’t have any rights to anything house wise. You can only really make a claim for beneficial interest if you can show you have made financial contributions to the property I’m afraid.
Are you claiming Universal Credit? If not, do so now. You need to post on the relationships board, there are lots of very knowledgeable posters on there who will be able to advise where to get help and support.Flowers

Check the tests by doing one yourself. If yours comes up clean then the tests are working.

I doubt you’ll have any rights over the house, it doesn’t sound like you’re married and you say it’s in his name, you need to contact the council to ask what help they can offer with housing and you need to prioritise finding work and helping your DD adjust to childcare.
