Zopiclone - need to quit it.

I think my use of Zopiclone is causing more problems than it's helping but I'm utterly dependent upon it.

How can I quit it but still be able to sleep and function? I have a very pressured job and 3x dc so can't just take time out.

Been taking this for 8.5 years now. My GP just put it on repeat and left me to it. The problem is, it's making me feel groggy and grumpy. The only time I don't take it is if I drink alcohol instead. I'm stuck in a very unhealthy viscous circle and don't know how to break it.

NHS suggests asking your pharmacist or doctor about how to come off it. It might need to be tapered or something. Maybe get a gp appointment booked and have a chat to your pharmacist if there’s a wait for the gp appointment.

I'm doing the sleepico app to reduce my Zoplicon use .I've found it really useful it's free and NHS approved.
Good luck definitely speak to your gp or pharmacist for some help.
I'm lucky as I have never taken a tablet every night but it would be so easy to do so .

I'm in the exact same situation with zopiclone. I don't have a solution but wanted to reassure you that you're not alone.

Talk to your GP, they are also responsible for this as they continued to prescribe.

NICE have guidelines on how to reduce, and it’s slow. Wish you lots of luck - you can do it!
