Binge eating disorder here.
Have quit all nicotine products, don't drink or do drugs, no longer take nytol to sleep.
But do abuse food.
Am progressively more overweight and self hating about it.
Realised today it is an addiction.
Does anyone know ways of stopping sugar addiction other than twelve step?

I was advised to make sure you always eat three meals a day, no snacks and remove white flour, alcohol and sugar from your diet.

Avoid sauces as they tend to be very sweet or very spicy and dull your ability to taste, and drink 2 litres of water a day.

Avoid appetite suppressants like nicotine, caffeine and diet drinks as well as laxatives.

30 mins of exercise, 3 days a week is fine.

It takes about 10 days for the emotional high and withdrawal symptoms from sugar to clear.

If you experience cravings to purge, starve or binge share these feelings with someone at the time if it's possible.

Keep meal times regular.

Don't weigh yourself more than once a month.
