I would suggest NA narcotics anonymous. Also your local drug and alcohol service. Good luck and well done for reaching out

Thank you for your advice I will look into them I have looked online but just found private clinics , I obviously want to stay away from doctor etc as I am scared due to having a child that this will get taken further, it is not done for pleasure it is done to help manage anxiety

I get it about GP, however I went to my doctor for a coke addiction and she said as I was wanting to get better that reporting to social services was not something she felt was necessary. NA is totally confidential, maybe take a friend along for support if you are anxious about going. Though I can assure you in my experience they are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people I have ever come across

GPs are generally more sympathetic to this kind of thing than you might think, and they can help you access other services that can offer help.

Speaking from my own experience, I absolutely would recommend narcotics anonymous as I attend meetings myself and it has saved my life, I was in a downward spiral, had two children living at home and was to ashamed to ask for help, someone i knew went to meetings so I tagged along one day, two and a half years later i still go, stayed away from my drug of choice and although life is still tough now and then, I can, with support from my sponsor and my husband (who is also in recovery) live life on lifes terms without using anything to try and cope.
You would be very welcome and not judged, I turned up at my first meeting, was greeted warmly, given a cuppa and I just sat and listened, as the meeting went on i heard some people share some amazing experiences, strength and most importantly, hope!
You are not alone, trust me when I say there are so many people that have gone through, going through exactly what you are going through and can help share their experiences with you.
I have learnt so much about myself, ill continue to learn and better myself everyday as long as I keep my butt in those meetings.
I wish you all the best.
