Sizing of Ladies clothes at Asda

I do like Asda clothes (can't afford much since I'm a SAHM!) and think they're good value, choice etc, but...

Is it just me or are their sizes on the small side? I always seem to need the next size up, which doesn't make me feel so great. Anyone else find this at Asda?

Yes..they are..saves them money and makes the prices lower as they use less material..
I wouldn't worry..I am in maternity size 14/16 from asda when iwas a 10/12 before and haven't gained weight excpet 'bump'...

Sizes are WAY on the small side, which is strange b/c it is a US owned company and all their clothes are sized bigger than UK ones.

Umm, I found my jeans were huge on me. Only able to wear them for about a week during my post baby weight down stage.

Odd how everyone finds it diffrent, though thinking about it I have a top I bought in the sale, size 8, which is actually quite baggy, and then pants size 12 which dig into me..
I think with cheaper clothes the sizes and fit can't be predicted so you have to try them on there and then..

I've always found them a bit on the large size too, except for the cheap t-shirts which are way too small

i think they vary. have 3 pairs of their cheap jeans they are too big, too small and just right!

he he..I know what you mean I recently grabbed three stretchy skirts in asda to try on..being pregnant and unsure I got size's 10 12 and 14, but turns out I actually picked up two 10's and a 12 and one 10 fit perfectly but one was really tight, but madly the 12 was even tighter!
..i think as I have said before, with cheaoper clothes you can't guarantee the sizing at all..they may have labelled or cut them differently and who cares when you get such a bargain
size is only a number..if you look good then all is well!

glad it isn?t just me who finds their cheap T shirts too small. I always get so depressed there - see a really cheap one I like, try it on and find that they are often 2 or even more dress sizes out puts me off buying them even if they are a bargain..

Well, I feel a bit better then I know shops do vary quite a bit, but I'm consistently a bigger size at Asda and mostly a size below elsewhere.

Babyonboard is right - it's only a number and a bargain is a bargain after all!

childrens clothes are fantastic though!

i went into asda just after dd was born in the attempt to buy a pair of jeans i could fit into a pair of size 16 from new look but the size 20 in asda was 2 small that was depressing and as they dont have a changing room i had to try them at home (after trying the 16 and 18) got fed up and didnt bother buying any other trousers although there tops are too big its mad

I recently bought a skirt that I found too big, but some one was telling me that with a lot of cheaper clothes, because they are all made by different manufacturers, the sizing does vary alot from garment to garment, and there's less control over sizing than say for example in M&S

I find Asda clothes small too - yet the kids clothes come up big on jess!
