Does anyone want to do some Watch shopping with me?

I've had the same watch for over 15 years so time for a new one. But I have no idea of what to get.

Budget is £150 - £200 with some flexibility.

I'm after something fairly simple but elegant, that won't date too quickly. I tend to wear silver jewellery (occasionally gold/bronze) but my wedding and engagement rings are gold.

So I wondered about a two tone watch like this one

or what about this style - very simple

I also like this one

any comments?

What about the Mondaine watches - a "design classic"

MrsBadger · 08/07/2010 18:04

I would always choose one made by a watchmaker (Tag, Citizen etc) over a designer (eg CK) one

I like a chrono and dh bought me one of these - it's a bit blingier than I migth have chosen but two-tone ladies' chronos are hrd to find and it look slovely on

said - I like the Mondaine watches. Their website says that they have a shop selling them in my town, so might have a wander down there.

MrsB - good point about the watchmaker v designer.

I posted a thread about this also a while back and I got this Citizen Eco drive in the end and I love it!

Looks very classic and goes with everything (and never needs a battery replacing!)
