Have new short hair- where can I get pretty thingumijigs (online) to go in it?

My hair is a lot like this now, and I want a hairband similar to the one she is wearing, or a narrow one. Must be stretchy though

I don't want to leave the sofa, so pretty please tell me of your online shops for this kind of malarky. Thank you kindly.

id be interested to see answers to this. i have shortish hair too and the last few elasticy bands ive had give me a headache after a few minutes from being too tight, which is weird coz i have a v small head really.
i did see one thing thats nice , on amazon... www.amazon.co.uk/Satin-Alice-Band-Fascinator-Rosette/dp/B002X2J14Y/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&s=shoes&qid=1 278542449&sr=8-21 and it comes in other colours too i think.

i want more hair accoutrements!

Poppity · 08/07/2010 00:05

Accoutrements! Yes.

Amazon one is nice, but that's the pain behind the ears type- I want ones that go all around like a bandeau thing, with tasteful decor. They have them everywhere for children

this kind of thing. But prettier.

yy, i have a few things of that ilk from accessorise or somehwere... but the blummin things are too tight and give me a headache. not good.
and i really do have an almost freakishly small head too

ruffletheanimal · 08/07/2010 00:21

anything you like on this rather sketchily named website? www.glitz4girlz.com/headbands.html

ruffletheanimal · 08/07/2010 00:23

man there are some ugly accessories out there...

hobbgoblin · 08/07/2010 00:25

I have lots of these (short hair also) bought from far and wide: H&M, Monsoon, River Island, etc.

They ALL make my head hurt. So I give up.

Poppity · 08/07/2010 00:29

Right, following all your advice, I'm going to make my own, I don't want a headache. I have ribbon and elastic and little crochet flowers somewhere too. Can't be that hard.

Someone should suggest 'hair accoutrements' to that website, some of those aren't bad on there, but they are tarnished by textspeak

i know... i actually quite like some things on there... but glitz4girlz?? seriously? omg im getting old !

really hobgoblin? well thats a bugger. still, ive saved a pretty penny listening to your experience at least... sigh.

I have short hair and was experimenting with a flower in it at the weekend. It really wasn't me though. Maybe it was the wrong sort of flower - I don't know. I looked a bit eccentric

ruffletheanimal · 08/07/2010 01:05

hmm
i dont mind eccentric
i do have a sort of clip on hair flowery thing...in black. i wore it the other day at a wedding party and it was alright for that (and no headache!) but it is a bit 'dress up' for day to day imo...
lighter colour might work i spose
but its a fine line between quirky/eccentric/stylish and cheap cheesy shite it would seem...

hobbgoblin · 08/07/2010 01:13

I have a double band thing with flower - in pink and in black and my mother says I "look a bit geisha" in it.

PlumSykes · 08/07/2010 08:47

Some nice ones here, but who knows if they would hurt?

Poppity · 08/07/2010 11:56

Oh yes really pretty ones there! I too like eccentric moononastick- eccentric is good!

TheMoonOnAStick · 08/07/2010 12:14

Hmm..I like them, and yet and yet..part of me feels they look a bit like those hairbands you see on baby girls who don't have much hair, worn to avoid being mistaken for a boy. You know the ones that get slated on here?

But then I actually think they look quite cute and never join in with the slating...Gah! I've confused myself now!

hobbgoblin · 08/07/2010 14:22

I have this one from your link Plum. It is the least hurty, but has frayed rather and make me look a bit like Worzel Gummage.

youmaynotlikethis · 08/07/2010 14:29

brave hair!!
