would you consider this tea tree soap as organic? or 'good' for you?

www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=390&prodid=38

it doesn't show the ingredients on the website but here they are...

sodium cocoate, glycerin, aqua, cocoa butter, sodium chloride, pentasodium pentetate, tetrasodium etidronate, titanium dioxide

ive been using this soap for a good few years on my face and has been very good on my spots. i am however coming to the end of my bar now and am reluctant to buy another as i have got very into organic skincare products and have only continued with this just to finish it off.

if you consider this to be a 'bad' product then id stop using it now and replace it with something else that is organic and tea tree as it seems to work well for me.

i have pure tea tree oil but am unsure what i can mix this with for a face wash. ideally i want something that would lather up that i can wash my face with as opposed to an oil i just wipe on.

ps. i know that a LOT of holland and barrett stuff that claims to be organic isnt very organic at all. i just like this soap

i get all my other skincare stuff from akamuti.co.uk which i consider to be the best quality organic stuff ever!! and very reasonable

I too am a great fan of Akamuti - really good value and good quality natural products.

I found this cosmetic database website and you can type in an ingredient name and it will give you a rating of how hazardous the ingredient is believed to be and information on the problems associated with it. You can also type in a product name (though is american site) and it will give them a rating too.

I just quickly tried the ingredients of your soap bar and there is nothing considered majorly hazardous, the ingredient most worrying is the titanium dioxide (rated low to moderate hazard)

thanks for replying domesticB ive used that cosmetics database before for searching products but didn't realise you could use it for ingredients too

i dont know weather to continue using the soap or not!

maybe i will for now. i did buy that african black soap to start using on my face and to also try on my hair. its realyl made my hair nice (though i also used my normal coconut oil too before shampooing with burts bees) but i think id rather use something with tea tree in it as i put coconut oil on my face before i go to bed and the african black soap already has coconut oil in it
