Hope this is the right forum, doesn't quite fit with the diet forum I think. I have just bought a dress I love of net-a-porter, but the fabric is much more clingy than I thought! I need to tone up my arms as it's sleeveless, and will try to tone up/lose a little around the middle, but what I really need (being a lazy type with no self-control) is the best shapewear.

So: the dress is beautiful but needs a full-length slip under it. Can one get such a thing that has a control panel at the waist to smooth lumps and bumps? Or do I need to combine a waist cincher and an ordinary slip?

What's the best of the Spanx and Spanx-type knickers? And should I try to tone up my arms with exercises or will they just go beefier?

Thanks!

lots to choose from

I reckon with one of these you wouldn't need control pants too but, just in case, I've just bought these and they're very good - they take me down a size
