Estee Lauder double duo or summat?

Only really soft one I have found is Rimmel which is cheap crap.
I need to widen horizons.

Estee Lauder Doublewear I think. About £15 (so about double (!) what I normally pay. I have only just got it so only worn it once. I'm not convinced it last longer than other brands, did look nice though but will keep it for going out - slightly too heavy for me for daytime...

FolornHope · 29/06/2010 15:06

Bourjois ones are ok as well. Not hard and don't drag

thatsnotmyfruitshoot · 29/06/2010 21:09

The Jemma Kidd ones are fantastic too. I finished one of the silver ones (unheard of, never finish anything!)

eshermummy · 29/06/2010 21:31

I second the Jemma Kidd recommendation.

For those of you that were on Folorn's make-up thread when I was asking about chubby eyeliner pencils I found them here half price and have been v impressed.

Clarins pencils v soft also - but why is the black one (in any range) always noticeably softer than the coloured ones

moondog · 29/06/2010 21:35

Thanks for these too.

I love the No 7 eye pencils, soft and don't drag easily but leave a nice smudgy (in a good way) line.

aquavit · 30/06/2010 10:46

feel the need to say AGAIN that urban decay eyeliners also brilliant

you can smudge them when you first apply them but then they set like a rock and won't budge all day

very silky smooth to apply

lots of teenagery lovely colours

moondog · 30/06/2010 13:38

Marvellous-all suggestions gratefully embraced.
Have jsut bitten bullet and thrown out a load that would take yer eyelid off sooner than endow one with elusive smudgy line.

Lancome one is good too.

doggiesayswoof · 30/06/2010 13:53

Having a look at doublewear just now

What colour do you think for light brown/hazely eyes?

gramercy · 30/06/2010 13:56

Frankly I think the Rimmel one is best.

After many years of caking on eyeliner (from the 80s when it was one pencil a week to now when it is one a year as I desperately try to achieve 'natural but not dead' look) I have rejected practically every other product as being too hard.

And while I'm on the subject of singing Rimmel's praises, I don't think you can better Hide the Blemish.

moragbellingham · 30/06/2010 14:38

Another fan of Urban Decay here.

The eyeliners somehow set after you've done what you want with them and stay put for ages, sadly have not found any mascara to match!

Lovely brown, plum, blacks etc. as well as bright metallics.

margherita76 · 30/06/2010 14:49

Clinique special curling mascara. Doesn't move at all, no smudging whatsoever. And it's a good thickening one- not sure about curling but does give emphasis. In fact it only comes off with warm water and gentle rubbing.

Iatemyskinnyperson · 30/06/2010 14:59

Prestige Waterproof ones are like the Urban Decay 24/7, very soft and DO NOT BUDGE once they dry. In Boots, pretty reasonable (well cheaper than EL anyway)

I LOVE the Mac Powerpoint eye pencils - they are very soft o apply so no dragging, can be smudged if you're quick and last forever. And they come in amazing colours as well as the standard - I quite like a subtle flash of a bright e/liner.
My 2nd choice would be (another vote for) urban decay pencils.

BelligerentGhoul · 16/02/2011 21:35

Urban Decay or Lancome for me - or the Clinique double ended ones.

MadameOvary · 16/02/2011 21:37

Clinique double ended here too - they stay put!
Elle has free black Neal's Yard Eyeliner this month.

Havingkittens · 16/02/2011 23:16

Yep, Jemma Kidd eye pencils are fab. Last really well. Chanel ones are good too.

ZacharyQuack · 17/02/2011 08:11

Clinique pencils are all good.

FluffyMummy123 · 17/02/2011 08:15

TAHTS THE ONE

Mumsnut · 17/02/2011 08:44

How do they sharpen, though? I was really happy with a couple i got from Space NK, but they are virtually impossible to sharpen so complete waste of money ...

FluffyMummy123 · 17/02/2011 08:47

which?
