my hair has been cut into a longish bob. it keeps flicking out at the ends and stuff which looks poo.

tell me , is it likely to sit better if i have it shorter do you think ?

at the moment the front bit reaches to my collar bone.

it was all long and flowing before and i wonder if i should just decide to grow it long again , but i am 34...

If your hair flicks out long it will still flick out short.
Straightners and serum and your best chance.

i hoped u wouldnt say that lol
i sort of hoped that being close to jaw line may make it follow the shape iykwim

i have to wash my hair every other day and i think i may wreck it if i keep putting the straighteners on it. i can see myself ending up birds nest like !

I straighten my hair every day (using a heat protection spray of course) and it's ok, of course I don't know your hair type so would never advise that! My boss would kill me!
If you want to grow your hair, go for it. I really don't think age matters, the length could help keep it straight with the weight pulling it down.

My hair is like that, it never sits straight unless I blow dry it with a roller brush and then straighten it.

I'm now growing it a bit so that on days I don't feel like doing all that I can just tie it back.
