Bought two of these yesterday, looks nothing on the hangar, but on, it fits in all the right places and is perfect to chuck on after a beach day, or in an evening....I'm 5'9 size 14.

A complete bargain too at £15!

I'm going wear mine on the school run for sure...it would be better if slightly heavier jersey, but hey, in this heat, who cares!

Have just created my own review for dress on M&S website, I should have commission!

Is it really low cut? It looks it on the model!

Maryqueenofchocs · 29/06/2010 17:31

Well, it is low cut, but not ridiculously, im not showing my bra off...it is a plunge bra, but all the same, its fine.

Have ordered in purple and red and will return one
yes, is it low cut????

LizzyLOU · 29/06/2010 17:35

Have just bought this in turquoise, mainly as have recently bought dresses in black and purple.
Blooming MN makes me soo much poorer

janeite · 29/06/2010 18:13

I will have a look at the weekend - I do need a new beach dress but am not convinced by viscose.

belleymum · 29/06/2010 18:17

Thanks Mary,
Ordering now in red and black I think.

puffling · 02/07/2010 14:28

Only flattering dress I've ever found, that's not an exxageration. Am 5f 3" with hips. Doesn't say Autograph on label tho?

Any ideas for a bra? Cos of the plunging v neck, lots of my bra was on show.

DarrellRivers · 02/07/2010 14:29

Pop a little stitch in the neckline, to make it a little less plunge
That's what I am going to do

ShinyAndNew · 02/07/2010 14:32

Something like this maybe?

I'm buying my dresses tomorrow, so I don't know how low they are yet.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 02/07/2010 14:34

that is bloody lovely

DarrellRivers · 02/07/2010 14:39

Got mine today
Kept the smaller size
Quite thin material but suprisingly easy to wear and flattering

BoysAreLikeDogs · 02/07/2010 14:40

a bit see through or could one get away with floofing around town in it?

DarrellRivers · 02/07/2010 14:41

It is a tiny bit see through in the skirt but I shall be floating to school and back on hot days in it

BoysAreLikeDogs · 02/07/2010 14:52

right that's good enough for me, I'm gonna get me the purple

thank you veh muchly

BoysAreLikeDogs · 02/07/2010 14:57

janeite · 03/07/2010 15:23

Okay - I tried it on in red and purple this morning. I thought it was horrible though - very clingy, very see through and very cheap looking (yes, I know it IS cheap!). Oh and the neckline was indecent but wearing a cami defeats the object, surely? Not at all impressed.

So I sulked and bought nothing at all.

southeastastra · 03/07/2010 20:03

ha i got the purple one too. i really like it though, but with trousers. without would be a bit clingy or like a nightly

fab though if you have great figure or i suppose, as it's intended, for the beach

DarrellRivers · 04/07/2010 09:17

janeite, unfortunately, with your previous purchase a VW dress, the beach dress will always come across unfavourably

Maryqueenofchocs · 04/07/2010 12:56

I like showing cleavage Janeite but I would hardly call it indecent, maybe i'm just a different shape as its fine on me....

doggiesayswoof · 04/07/2010 13:21

I saw it this morning, all revved up to buy after seeing this thread last night

Didn't try it on, tbh didn't like the look of it at all

v low cut which would be ok if you had a bikini on under it, but I wanted something cheap to wear for daytime and this isn't it for me

I like viscose usually but this felt weird - sort of rough.

For actual beach dresses I'd reccy New Look - I got 2 in there, one 6 pounds and one 8. Both very nice, all cotton, huge range of colours.

janeite · 04/07/2010 13:33

I did wonder that Darrell and tried to look kindly on the M&S one - but I still couldn't like it!

I am quite norky, Mary, and on me it was deffo indecent!
