What do I do with this?!?

DD2 has curls. Lovely ringletty strawberry curls and I have no idea how to deal with them! My hair is stick straight, DD1 has sleek shiney straight hair easily maintained in a little bob. Wash it every couple of days, comb it, done.

DD2 is almost 2 and is growing these thick tangly curls. If I brush the tangles out it stands out from her head like Bob Geldof ca. 1987. If I don't, it starts turning into dreadlocks. Do I cut it short (is too gorgeous, don't think I can!)? Do I wash and condition it every night without fail (would rather cut my own arm off, she hates having it washed)? Do I let it grow into dreds like the little girl down the street?

Any advice appreciated!

johnson and johnson do a leave in conditioner i use that on my dds hair - hers is just a mass of curls and ringlets - if let it looks like rats tails it brushed without the conditioner it looks like a 1970's afro wig

Use lots of conditioner. Never ever brush it when it's dry. Wash and condition, squeeze dry, comb through when wet, add leave-in conditioner, let dry naturally or wrap in a t-shirt. Perk it up between washes by spritzing water on it.

If you go down the silicones route, the Frizz-Ease range is good. A tiny amount of serum mixed in with a leave in conditioner when wet is good, or the Frizz Ease curl spray if dry and water alone isn't defrizzing. Don't touch it too much as it will frizz.
