Can't cope with blazing south london sun. Need some kind of hat

Just this year I seem not to be able to cope with the sun, presumably on my bonce. So I'm walking around town (alright to school) in cropped jeans and flip flops or birkies and a wrap dress or summat. What, pray, can I stuff atop my head that might make me feel both good and better?

Tried some straw trilby's in Peacocks. Keen on the idea but they were virtually paper. One good tug, and I could have been wearing it as a necklace I have noticed that the kind of women I think are really cool at school women don't really wear hats. Still haven't bee to TS for Forlorns linen trilby though, so should buck up and get out their this w/e

Update. Bought a grey cap from Hennes. With a baseball style peak but more of a cylindrical top... clear as mud, as usual. Must go and put it on. Am dispensing squash at sports day.
