tulip skirt - top issues

i have a tulip skrit i bought last eyar and never wore.
its short.
has a deep wasitband.
i like it.
top wise i SHOULD wear a tight plain vest BUT
a) work
b) am very short in body so will look ODD tucked in
am currntely thinking of a plain fitted ve neck t - ish kind of top.

yes but make sure it's not a long t

the marks and spencer ones this year are V long (the organic cotton ones with the super shape last year I'm on about) so a no no unless you've got some that survived the winter without too much fading . ho hum

its a white stuff one but plain and slimline enough not to look odd.
but its not quite right

I have this tulip skirt taunting me from my wardrobe and am similarly stuck.

In the shop they had it with a vest top (in FEBRUARY!), and I tried on a white blouse, kind of frilly, but it looked all wrong.

I left without a top to go with it which was a grave mistake.

would this work? IME kookai tops very short and fitted in the body.

Actually it's a little short (and dark coloured) to wear in summer - I would feel safer with thick tights and boots - maybe a plain black polo neck would be fine.

I think that would look nice with a plainish fitted tulip.
